Emil & Herb Brewing: December 2013

Effing awful names. Effing awesome beer. Homebrewers Emil and Herb decided to make use of the "horrible" family names they were given and use them as a unique name for their unique concoctions. Since the names were vintage and they both loved vintage designs, the founders wanted to have a vintage style but with modern, fun, nonsense mixed in. They named each brew with four letters because of their four letter names and with their love of the four letter language, swearing.

Punk—the flagship dry hopped Pale Ale. Steam punk style, dapper robot ready for anything and gentlemanly to boot.

Foof—Blackberry Blonde. Sounds like a fake swear word so the pop art, comic book style burst was fitting.

USSA—monstrous Russian Stout with an American twist. USA meets USSR propaganda.

2930—Belgian style ale created for, and named by, the writer and designer responsible for the ideas. In combining our ages for the name we created a year far in the future so stylistically went with a retro futuristic flying car. Our commonly favorite beer sporting proof of modern women with a love of all things vintage.

Easy—summer Wheat with Lime. The Big Easy to brew, easy to drink.

Kiss—classic Red Ale, a "red zepplin". Vintage zepplin to get you flyin'.

Labels were printed on clear repositionable labels for easy clean up and reuse of bottles.
