Soulside—Createathon: April 2018

Create-a-thon is an event hosted by Alchemy Systems in partnership with Texas State Universty’s Communication Design Department. Over the course of 48 hours teams of undergraduate students paired with a graduate student lead are paired with writing an creative direction partners from Alchemy to create a parcel of work for pre-selected and deserving non-profit organizations.

Six Square is the nexus of thriving Black arts and culture in Central East Austin. They re-animate cultural spaces, connect community, and honor the past, present, and future of Austin’s Black Cultural District. We envision a vibrant future for the District that grows from the rich legacy and cultural contributions of Austin’s Black community.

In an effort to preserve and celebrate the rich cultural legacy of African Americans, with a specific focus on blacks of Central East Austin Six Square is hosting an annual event to bring African American professionals and heritage tourists together to engage in a cultural celebrations. In support of this effort our team took on naming the event along with creating the logo/photo system, a style guide, and sponsor presentation to aid in promoting and hosting the event.
